Airman Khaki

Airman Felt Scout Badge Khaki 1908 to 1928

First Issued in 1910 as Aviator, the badge was renamed in 1911 to Airman. The badge was withdrawn in 1945

This proficiency badge was worn on the right arm, starting from the cuff upwards in order of achievement.

To Earn the Airman Badge*

Must make a working model of an aeroplane or dirigible that will ?y at least 25 yards, and have knowledge \, of the theory of aeroplanes and dirigibles and their engines, and balloons.
