The Boatman badge has the image of a Yacht and was also known as Helmsman. 

The Boatman Badge was worn on the Right arm in between the shoulder and elbow.

To earn the Boatman Badge*

Must hold the Oarsman Badge and be able to sail a. boat, tack, wear, reef, make and shorten sail; bend sails and make them up for Stowing away; distinguish the various classes of vessels by their rig; anchor  a boat and make bends, hitches, knots and splices

(not wire} and be able to throw a line.
