This proficiency badge was worn on the right arm, starting from the cuff upwards in order of achievement.

To earn the Prospector badge*

Must have a general knowledge of the various periods of the formation of the earth’s crust, and which are water-bearing rocks. Must understand stratification dip and faults. Must be able to identify Twenty different minerals in their natural state; Twenty different fossils, and know to what period they belong.
